PORTAGE BAY MAJOR REMODEL

The existing small residence was a non-conforming structure along the shoreline. We were challenged to design a modern home within the zoning constraints of the shoreline environmental critical area. It was designed in conjunction with new floating homes in the adjacent moorage, therefore the living spaces are located on the upper level to have views over the new floating homes.  This home was also designed to maintain views from the adjacent upland residence, with care given to roof lines and materials, along with a partial green roof. Ecco worked closely with the owner on window detailing, structural steel design and detailing, and siding to achieve a clean, modern aesthetic.
